Our story

Built because the tools we wanted didn't exist.

Altask started in a coworking space in Lisbon in early 2024. A small team of designers and engineers were tired of the same loop: scope a marketing page in Figma, hand it to a dev for a week, get back something close to the design, repeat.

We wanted a single canvas — designerly enough to make beautiful pages, technical enough to ship them — and we wanted to own the HTML at the end. So we built it. Today Altask is used by teams from indie maker shops to public companies to ship their marketing surface area.

We're independent, profitable, and intentionally small. We grow by listening to the people building with the tool, not by chasing valuations.

Principles

How we build

Six rules we use to make decisions when no one's looking.

Craft over speed.

Default to slower, more considered work. Speed compounds when the foundation is right.

Own the primitives.

Build the underlying parts ourselves. Layouts, type scales, colour systems — no off-the-shelf UI kits.

Ship the rough cut.

Production isn't a milestone, it's the studio. Ideas that don't survive contact with users die quickly here.

No lock-in, ever.

Whatever you build is yours, exportable any day. Loyalty isn't a contract — it's earned every release.

Small team, deep work.

We hire slowly and protect maker time. No standups. Long async write-ups. Quiet Tuesdays.

Patience, then sprint.

Plan in months, ship in days. We deliberate carefully, then move quickly once the call is made.

Build the next thing with us.

We're hiring carefully — designers, engineers, and a writer. We also love hearing from teams using Altask in production.
